ssi beginnings

1987

SSI traces its roots way back in 1987, when we operated as part of a consolidated group known as DBP Service Corporation (DBPSC), one of the many previously-owned government entities that underwent privatization in 1987. Back then, as a start-up unit, our core service offering was mainly the provision of basic security services alongside the mother company’s services, which covered the provision of clerical and janitorial services. Our market during this period was primarily a captive one, serving a handful government entities within the Metro Manila region.

2008

We encountered a major crossroad in 2008. On December 5 of the same year, the Civil Security Group of the Philippine National Police (CSG-PNP), the regulating agency for all private security agencies in the country, issued a memorandum that required all private security agencies to include in their corporate names the term “security”. This otherwise simple name change required big changes. The small unit from within was faced with the challenge of becoming its own. Functioning separately and independently from its mother company. We took this challenge.

2010

On March 29, 2010, over a year after, the required transition was achieved! DBPSC Security Service Inc. (DBPSC SSI) was officially born in 2010 after having successfully registered itself as a bonafide entity with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under SEC REG No. CS201005006. Certification and the License to Operate was likewise obtained from the Philippine National Police (PNP) under License Number--PSA-110492-2011. Yes, from a small departmental unit, we are now officially a wholly-owned subsidiary company of the DBPSC.

This transition led to greater things for the company. Through the years, we were not only able to maintain our existing clients, we succeeded in growing them as well! Today, DBPSC SSI caters to both government and private establishments. Offering an expanded base of services such as VIP security, Private Investigation & Surveillance, and Armored Car Escort Services. Our pool of experienced security personnel has likewise increased, as we capture more of the market and continue to extend our coverage capabilities to the entire Philippine archipelago. Through sound leadership, bounded by basic respect for the Filipino worker, DBPSC SSI now stands as one of the best and most respected security agencies in the Philippines.

Being able to secure businesses, assets, and personnel safety, is something we take very seriously at DBPSC SSI. To fullfill this commitment, we take no shortcuts in making sure all security guards we deploy, as well as the equipment they use, are duly licensed, trained, and ready to deliver what is expected of them. Other requirements, necessitated by our business and specified by governing bodies in the security industry, such as DOLE, PNP & PADPAO, are religiously complied with on a regular basis as well. All these to let our clients know that they have no less than skilled and reliable professionals protecting them at all times.

We believe that exemplary service comes from personnel who are well taken cared of. This is why, through the years, we have stood by our commitment of making sure our security pool are amply compensated in accordance with what the law requires. Standard wages, allowances, and full SSS, Philhealth, and PAGIBIG benefits, among others, are a regular commitment for disbursement. We also make sure that prompt release of these funds are done via our fully-automated compensation systems in order to avoid common service disruptions resulting from such delays. By fully managing our people, we deliver nothing else but seamless service to you, our valued clients!

Continuous Improvement

IMPROVEMENT

As with most businesses, information and skills are two things that can never be stale and outdated. This has more critical value though in the security industry given its responsibility to protect not only items of value but human lives as well. Hence our focus on continuous improvement and development here at DBPSC SSI. All our deployed security personnel are required to undergo regular skills-training exercises and compliance tests. We implement frequent intelligence updates internally as well. Making sure back-up information and monitoring systems are always up and ready to make sure the security service we offer is delivered in its truest form.
